چکیده
their rehabilitation. passive range of motion. The main treatment involves proper shoulder exercises and joint mobilization to break up adhesions at the joint capsules and improve joint mobility and functions. However, due to a lack of persistence, not all patients complete rehabilitation. To address this, we created a virtual reality game-based treatment system that encourages patients to participate in regular rehabilitation. Using our system, patients can inquire freely about their rehabilitation progress through real-time sensing and game-based feedback. Six progressive and hierarchical training tasks make each training step adjustable based on the patient’s physical condition. To test our system, we used randomized clinical trial criterion to recruit 40 patients for a sequence of trials over a four-week period. Here, we describe our system and the study, as well as our results, which show that patient shoulder joint mobility and muscle strength significantly improved for those using our system compared to those using the traditional rehabilitation method.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 4-weeks rehabilitation, electrotherapy and kinesiotherapy programs on range of motion shoulder pain in men with idiopathic frozen shoulder. Methods & Materials: This was a semi experimental study on 18 patient (Means±SD Age 56.4±6.7 year, height 175.1±5.3 cm, weight 73.1±7.5 kg, history patient 9.2±5.1 month) who referred...

Background: Some studies show that frozen shoulder is due to the pathologic changes in the muscles around the shoulder. Measurement of the ultrasonic thickness of a muscle is a method for measuring the muscle changes. There is no study about the reliability of measurement of the muscle’s ultrasonic thickness around the shoulder in patients with frozen shoulder. The present study aims to invest...
متن کاملPlatelet-Rich Plasma for Frozen Shoulder: A Case Report
Frozen shoulder is a glenohumeral joint disorder that perturbs movement because of adhesion and the existence of fibrosis in the shoulder capsule. Platelet-rich plasma can produce collagen and growth factors, which increases stem cells and consequently enhances the healing. To date, there is no evidence regarding the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma in frozen shoulder. A 45-year-old man ...

UNLABELLED Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis describes the common shoulder condition characterized by painful and limited active and passive range of motion. The etiology of frozen shoulder remains unclear; however, patients typically demonstrate a characteristic history, clinical presentation, and recovery. A classification schema is described, in which primary frozen shoulder and idiopat...

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this retrospective cohort study was to compare range of motion, subjective outcomes, and the prevalence of reoperation in groups of frozen shoulder patients with either low or moderate/high irritability treated with the same total end range time-maximizing protocol. DESIGN A total of 36 patients were treated with the total end range time-maximizing protocol (12 patien...
